Clubhouse Newsletter #28Posted 12 years ago by KatieHello… we’re back! It’s been a long time since we wrote to you and we’ve got so much news we are having to hold some back ‘til next time! Let’s get cracking… First up Case Hardin have announced and exciting co-headline show at one of London’s most treasured venues, The Borderline, on Monday 27th October. The band will be joined on the night by Jason McNiff and the Lone Malones plus special guest Wizz Jones; we can’t recommend it highly enough. Check out the facebook event for more details. *****BREAKING NEWS***** Case Hardin will also be opeing a show for Martha Wainwright and Carrie Rodriguez on 1st November at The Atkinson Theatre. The Show is in association with the Americana Music Association UK and all the details are right here - it's an amazing line-up! Also out treading the boards are The Redlands Palomino Company who head out to Witney, Oxfordshire to play Fat Lil’s with the highly rated Ags Connolly on 30th October. Tickets for the event are still available and if you email our pal Adrian, he is offering a “Buy 2 get 1 FREE” deal for all our Clubhouse friends. Drop him an email at info@tunatheday.com The Dreaming Spires are never far from an exciting project or two and as well as some carefully selected live dates and filming for the brilliant Crypt Sessions they are also preparing to release a new EP on 24th November. “Darkest Before The Dawn” sees Oxford’s finest return with and incredible set of songs, which in many ways form part of a trilogy that started with “Brothers In Brooklyn” and will conclude with the release of their second full-length album due out in Feb 2015. You’ll be hearing a lot more from them in the next few weeks but for now check out their website for imminent live dates: thedreamingspires.com It’s not just our existing roster that are keeping us busy, you may have noticed we’ve signed not one, but two Nashville based artists in Cale Tyson and Don Gallardo. Cale Tyson’s first release for us will be a superb 7-track offering of country goodness entitled “High On Lonesome” available digitally from 27th October. Cale is gaining an awful lot of attention and has been recently featured by Rolling Stone, while UK press and radio are really starting to get behind him. If you haven’t already, check out this Youtube playlist we put together. You can pre-order the EP Catching Don Gallardo was one of the highlights of summer when we saw him performing at Truck festival, we liked him so much he ended up closing our Tom Petty tribute with us on the saloon stage and we knew he belonged in the Clubhouse. We will shortly be making Don’s incredible back catalogue available in the UK before releasing a brand new album, recorded with some of Nashville’s finest, at the start of next year. We love this live clip of Don performing “Burgundy Wine” from his last record. Both Don and Cale will be back in the UK in the New Year and we can’t wait for you to catch them live. With Paul McClure (surely the hardest working man on the scene?) working up a new album, Troubadour Rose nearing full match fitness and The Cedars with a whole new set of songs in the bag, all is well in the Clubhouse camp, Exciting times!! See you soon, From all of us at the Clubhouse. Twitter: https://twitter.com/ClubhouseUK |
