Pete Gow’s The Fragile Line gets Digital Release on 17^th January 2020 via Clubhouse Records

Clubhouse Records will release ‘The Fragile Line’ … the second solo album by former Case Hardin frontman Pete Gow.

Previously only available at Gow’s recent live shows, this release - across all digital platforms - includes an exclusive bonus track ‘Storm Surge’ recorded especially for this project.

‘The Fragile Line’ can be seen as a companion piece to 2019’s ‘Here There’s No Sirens’ – which has earned Gow and producer Joe Bennett a nomination for AMA-UK’s Album of the Year.

Like its predecessor, ‘The Fragile Line’ was recorded at Farm Music Studios by Joe Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Co Pilgrim, Bennett Wilson, Poole) who scored and performed the cinematic string arrangements at the heart of the production on both albums. The album was performed by Gow, Bennett and drummer Fin Kenny with additional cello tracks by Louisa Lyne. It was mastered by Tony Poole (Starry Eyed & Laughing, Bennett Wilson Poole)

‘The Fragile Line’ revisits some of the themes from ‘Here There’s No Sirens’ in dark, orchestral pieces like ‘The Fragile Line’ and ‘Storm Surge’. But this album stretches its sonic palette in new, fascinating directions... the ‘String Soul’ groove of ‘Let’s Make War A Little Longer’ alongside powerhouse performances of ‘It Hasn’t Happened Yet’ and ‘Tourniquet’.

The new release includes a faithful, yet truly original reading of Warren Zevon’s ‘Lawyers, Guns & Money’ as well as a re- make of the Case Hardin tour de force ‘Poets Corner’ (‘Colours Simple’ 2016)

Gow lets us into the thinking behind a second album that came so fast on the heels of ‘Here There’s No Sirens’ …

‘.. the songs on Sirens made a great track listing, but a pretty depressing set list, so we wanted to get lots of light, shade and balance into the live shows ...  of course Joe can’t really score strings to i- phone demo’s so as we pulled the new songs together to build the set lists, we recorded them.. and accidentally came out the other side with a new album’

Gow and his live band featuring the Siren Strings will be performing live throughout 2020.
